                                                                                We would wake the child very early in the
                                                                                morning and drive to Johannesburg.  We
                                                                                stayed at his mother’s house for three
                                                                                months.  We then started looking for a
                                                                                place  close  to  our  workplaces  and  a
                                                                                school for our son.

                                                                                We asked my husband’s uncle who stays
                                                                                where it was closer to workplaces and
                                                                                school if we could build a shack in his
                                                                                yard.  He agreed, and we moved to his
                                                                                uncle’s place.   The aim was not to stay
                                                                                there for long. We stayed in the shack
                                                                                and when it rains, the rain water would
                                                                                come  in  through  the  roof.  My  heart
                                                                                would be very sore knowing that I was a
                                                                                qualified  Chemical  Engineer  and  my
                                                                                husband  was  a  Lawyer,  but  we  were
                                                                                staying in a shack. I wanted us to get our
                                                                                own  house,  but  because  of  my
                                                                                husband’s  bad  credit  record  it  was
                                                                                difficult to  get  one.  I  would  look  for  a
                                                                                house alone. I even looked for house on
                                                                                the internet, and some were scams and
                                                                                we ended up losing money. We stayed in
                                                                                the shack for two years.

                                                                                One day I found out that my husband has
                                                                                asked another woman to marry him, he
                                                                                wanted  to  pay  Lobola  for  her  while
                                                                                staying with me. When I approached him
                                                                                regarding this, he blamed me and said
                                                                                he  was  marrying  another  woman
                                                                                because I had a bad attitude and I do not
                                                                                respect him.
